Jeannie Wong -  Printmaker, illustrator

HoChing WONG, Jeannie is currently a second year student from Royal College of Art Print MA program. Born and raised in Hong Kong, and graduated from and was later a technical assistant in printmaking from the Visual Arts Academy at Hong Kong Baptist University.

My practice relies on the condensed emotion around daily life and unsettled feelings towards my homeland. My works usually lie between natural landscapes and imagined dimensions which act as a container of my narrative and own reality.  I am currently working mainly with etching, aquatint, mokuhanga and illustrations.  By collecting and regrouping fragments of memories from daily life events and personal stories pictures are formed to sustain the nostalgic and distant feeling towards life.
